Radio bits

Here's hoping somebody out there just might have any of these wireless parts they'd be willing to part with, or suggest where they might be found. As always, trades are available and considered. All help most gratefully received.

1. 'Coil, Aerial Tuning No.2'. It's a wooden box about 16" by 10" by 10" for the Canadian No.9 Mk.1 set. I have a No.2A which is similar (except for no window on the face and is for a 52 set) for sale or trade.

2. Control units (any kind) for the No.29 Canadian set. These sometimes get mixed in with regular 19 set ones so, if by chance you have on that looks something like this, I'd be most interested.

3. Power supply unit for the No.38 AFV set as pictured. Also No.16 and No.17 control units.

4. 'Jones', headset and battery plugs for the Canadian 58 set battery box as pictured. Any loose ones in a spares box somewhere?

There is a wireless guy online over here has a LOT of kit for sale but can't remember his name. On eBay here they have fair bit of stuff, search ww2 wireless and military wireless. I will try find his info after work later.

plugs

My friend VK3 " " " had a box full of those NOS Jones plugs, the small ones . He only had the one side , cannot remember which . I saw them all wrapped in WW2 packaging just a few weeks ago .

I think he threw the Jones plugs out recently ..... Back in the early 70's he bought the whole stock of Waltham trading, the Melbourne surplus dealer . Thousands of NOS WW2 tubes were stored under his parents house. Most of it is gone now . The parents house has just recently been sold . Mike

The Cinch Jones connector is S-310-CCT (with clamp) or S-310-FHT (without).
There's a couple listed on ebay. I got the FHT ones for $5 and they're good.

I also am looking for the headphones/mic connectors, does anyone know who made them?

I might have a spare pair of 16 and 17 control units, I'll have a look today.

Thanks for the heads up. That's actually a No.2A used on the 52 set, though it works with the N.9 Mk.1 set. The No.2 is the same except it has an oblong window on its face to show the dial. The 2A had the window covered and replaced with a numerical counter. I have a spare 2A if, by chance, someone needs one or...in my dreams...needs it to replace the No.2 they have.
