This is the official thread for discussion and Q&A on our annual event here at the Museum. I have notifications turned on and will be able to provide prompt answers to all of your questions in regards to our Museum and the AQUINO event.

Here is the current event outline:

WEEKEND MAY 27-29 - AQUINO

Theme: The Ontario Regiment 150 YEARS / 25th Anniversary Gulf War

The Ontario Regiment Museum hosts Ontario's largest Military show each year. Visit the Museum on AQUINO TANK WEEKEND to see live demonstrations including TANKS, Battle Re-enactments, Artillery, Static displays and more.

This year our annual show will be a weekend long event, with events and exhibits on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, 27 May 2016 - Media event and night shoot.
You will see several of our vehicles in a firepower demonstration.

Saturday, 28 May 2016 - Live vehicle demonstrations, re-enactments and tank rides culminating in second annual LIVE SHOW.


Sunday, 29 May 2016 - Live vehicle demonstrations, re-enactments and tank rides culminating in second annual LIVE SHOW, with a knock out finale.

The Museum is home to Canada's largest collection of operational historical military vehicles.

Weekend pass is only $20
$10 for Children under 12

NOTE: Due to municipal restrictions camping will not be permitted on site. A listing of local hotels / camp grounds and alternatives will be provided here leading to the event.

Coming to AQUINO from out of town? We have secured our guests preferred and discounted rates at LaQuinta Oshawa. Ask about our AQUINO rates.

The rates are $79 for a single bed, $89 for two beds and $99 for our Executive rooms.

Darlington Provincial Park is a part of the Ontario Provincial Parks system. It is located just south of Highway 401 near the town of Courtice, between the cities of Bowmanville and Oshawa.

Why is there nothing apparently on the Museum webpage about the event?

It is unfortunate but our page is getting a major overhaul this year. We are about 50% finished. Please remember we are a non-profit museum staffed 99% by volunteers.

Well I am confirmed and will be up there! Looking forward to it! Of course I'll have a car full of CMP parts for the trip home!
