Hi All,
I picked up these fuze tools and have no idea what they are for.Anybody know what they are used on? The pictures show most of the details. The wrench still in the cosmoline wrap has a tag that is dated Oct 55.Both are the same wrench

This one has 3 sides with the 4th side blank.

First one is the standard late or post-war US M18 wrench. Used for all artillery 75mm and up.

Last one looks like a primer wrench for screw in primers, so British rather than US but presumably post war.

I have one just like this for my 75mm Pack kit.

Second one has a Nato Stock Number on it (5120-21-102-3503). I am assuming the 21 is correct, both by the early time period of the NSN and the other lettering of Wrench, Ammo, C-4. The NSN dates back to the adoption of the NSNs in Cdn service.

The other end is the screwdriver blade to set the delay or super quick setting on PD type fuzes.

The second one is for removing and replacing the fins and primers for the 60mm mortar. Guess I'll be needing that one. Let's talk.

We were issued with the first one with the 81mm Mortars (during the happiest tie in the military)

Never saw the second, but it's fascinating

Secured!

Rob,
Any tools you need are yours! I picked them up for curiosity sake!

Any interest?

Anybody interested in the fuze setting wrenches? They are of no use to me.One is still in cosmoline wrap.Rob got the other 2 tools for the mortar and bar with primer setting pins.
Cheapy, cheapy,or will trade for other tools? I am still looking for certain tools to fill my Ford CMP 3 ton & Carrier Mk 1* tool kit list!
Regards,Derk
