C60L Data Plate Locations?
 

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me or have any pictures of the location of all the data plates in a C60L cab?

Hi Chris,
The data plates in a Chevy all live on top of the instrument panel, with the exception of the gear shift plate, which lives on the bottom of the dog house, below the engine inspection hinged flap.

To add to that
 

If you're looking for a build date the Sydney assembled trucks have the date on the plate on the engine cover, most others are on the data plate on top of the dash.

I have a Canadian built C60l. The data plate is on the end of the dash and a REL plate is on top of the dash.

The silver data plate indicates a 42 build.
2 year
8443 C60L
12367 No. chassis built that year for that model.

Interesting, thanks gents. This one has holes in the top of the engine cover which look like there were plates there at some stage. Possibly something from its time in the fire service.

Top of engine cover, on mine that is the gear shift pattern plate.

I will have to have a look but from memory my engine cover has what looks like holes on the top of it for the plate also but I think the holes did not line up, will double check.
