Guns ans supplies for undercoating.....
Hi Stuart
Yes guns are avaialble and reuseable...... as long as you clean them well before it sets...... same as paint. I beleive Princess sells the undercoating guns...... proper supplies are best from auto paint shops... Cheers |
Back in the 80s we had drums and drums of the Zeibart coatings hanging around the POL shed. There were guys who would thin it with solvent and spray it through the princess auto type undercoating gun. There were no adapters to get into the channels, but overall it seemed to work out pretty well. The guys would do it on the hoist and would come out looking like they were the ones being zeibarted.

Gee Rob! I thought you were going to recommend Gorilla Glue!

Krown has been spraying Canadian MVs for a number of years. I spray a dozen of the G wagons at my shop from the armoury in Aurora.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Krown have to be re-applied yearly? Judging by some of the gaping holes I see through the LSVW and 1.5 ton trailer bodies, I have to wonder as to it's overall effectiveness. We generally don't see rust like that here on the prairies.

Truck bed spray liner. Applied thru Shutz gun or rolled on. Tough as nails. Prep the surface well. I think Canadian tire has the kits less the gun for about $100. Maybe less on sale. gun is another $25.
Tried it on my 1.75 ton arrow trailer and it worked great. Just my thoughts :salute: |
