A military ute drives past. What is it ? A Chevy ? But it looks like a 1938 model ? Its the car based utility but with a commercial truck type grill- never seen this before myself.

Hi Mike, I think it is a 1939 Chev. The commercials carried the grill over from the previous year.

Hi rick

It doesn't appear to be built on the light commercial chassis, which of course has the truck style cab . I still tend to lean towards a 1938 car based ute eg same chassis and wb as the 1938 chevy sedan. The 39 car/ute grill is completely different .
