1955 Chev Model 1543
 

Hi guys,
I have a friend who has purchased a 1955 Chev Model 1543 truck. Its a 2 ton, dual rear wheel with an inline 6 engine.

He's trying to source rear brake shoes and having no luck anywhere. They appear to be 14x4.
Anybody dealt with one of these before?

Try a highway truck centre.....
 

In all probability you may need to have the brake shoes reclined but large truck centers like Whelan trucks in Ottawa should be able to help.

We had out CMP brake shoes reclined at Ottawa Brake and clutch..... who also rebuilt our clutch pack.

Thanks Bob, we've spent hours searching and contacting places and have come to the conclusion that getting them relined was the only option at this point.
Thought I'd try here in case someone knew something we couldn't find. This one is challenging to find information for.
