Hi Jon
Would you believe the dump next town over? Got x3 pretty good metal Jerry Cans there last week. If you want to come untangle and wind it, there is about 1000yards of WD-1 there too!! "Original Un-restored condition" work for you? Let's not forget three free bolts. :giveup kind regards Darrell *Sending you PM. :) |
Does anyone have a spare clip or two, like the ones in the photo?
|
Still looking..... What about the whole thing?
|
Lynn: PM sent to you.
|
Brian, I will get back to you, but first, What SMG does this bracket hold please?
(trying to establish that what I want it for is going to work) |

And since the C1 is a Canadianised copy of the British Sterling SMG, it will work for that too. As well, it does a terrific job holding those old 3 and 4 battery maglights that were so popular back in the 80s and 90s.
|
O.K. Rob, What i want it for is to clip on the center leg (32mm dia.) of my Bren Quadrant, in my Bren carrier. (nothing like the system in a U.C.)
A Maglite (policeman's other batten) is about 39mm dia. |
These brackets are made to hold the sterling, which is your typical tube gun with a 1-1/2" diameter tube. The clips are fairly tight, so they would work to a smaller diameter as well. If you like, I could grab a SMG mount form the shed and try it on one of my Bren tripods (I assume that is what you mean by "quadrant"...my old English is not so good).
|
Lynn, those items are called Terry Clips, and are readily either as GENUINE or PROBABLE CHINESE COPIES.
Some are available with a latex/PVC dip coating, but that wouldn't be too hard to apply by yourself |
Hi Rob, If you can, then my concern is sorted. (I thought they were referred to as a quadrant, because the non legged frame looks like a slice out of a round pizza).......:ergh:.... Tripod works for me as well, just on't go into French :giveup
Tony, Thank you, but they look a bit light? |
Lynn
Far be it for me, a mere heathen colonial, to correct the Queen's homeland English......your terminology may well be correct in the old world. I'll check when I get home tonight. |
