Hello.
Is this a Vickers Amphibious Light Tank in China in 1942? Or is it a Soviet T37? Regards Nick Balmer |

Vickers Carden Lloyd
Hello Hanno,
I think you would need to be either very brave, or desparate to drive one of those tanks into water. Thanks for confirming the tanks origin, and for providing a rear photo. Regards Nick Balmer |
Great Armoured car
Hello Hanno,
I went to the url you posted. What a good site. Do you know anythink about this armored car shown on the site. It doesn't appear to be the one on a GMC chassis because it has machine gun armament rather than a 37mm, but it is still very advanced by the standards of the day. Anybody know which chassis it was built on? Or have a rear photo. I would love to build a model of it. german?
Nick,
I am researching this vehicle for some time and I think this was a German design, problably on Krupp truck chassis. It might be related to the Wilton-Feyerenoord armoured car that was built on a Krupp chassis as well. I have another pciture of the same vhicle (with a sister car). These two served with the Shanghai Police Dept. Here's a link with some pictures to add to the discussion: http://www.network54.com/Forum/threa...eid=1099248579 For the similar WF cars, see my chapter on foreign built armoured cars in Overvalwagens!
