Morris C8/B and C8/P

Now then everyone. First port of call here and asking The Knowledge. A friend of mine (and I realise that he is probably already on here asking this same question) is currently restoring a Morris C8/B with the 40mm Bofors, he's cracking on with that. But he's just bought a Morris C8/P to go with it. The Predictor vehicle is proving a bit of an issue to find anything on so any assistance and pictures would be an enormous help.

Cheers,

Tom

Hello Tom,

Welcome to MLU!

Have a thorough search on the forum, there is a lot of info on Predictors on here, though less on the Morris C8/P.

Attached is a photo of a surviving example with UK licence registration FWW 695, which I found on www.miliblog.co.uk quite a few years ago. I have no further info on it's current ownership/ location.

HTH,
Hanno

I would hasten to add that Don Wardell recently joined MLU for the following reason:

My interest in joining your group is to inform members that I have Kerrison Predictor parts to send to a good home. I listed a Ball and Disc Integrator for sale at low reserve before I became aware of your group

I have run a check on the registration through the DVLA which shows that FWW695 is currently taxed for the road so it is at least still in the UK and road worthy.

Tom,
To be precise, the Bofors mounted Morris was a C9/B. I did some work on one that was displayed at the Royal Artillery Rotunda and Firepower museums. Think the wheelbase is slightly longer than the C8.

Hi All
I think this is in regards to me, thank you Tom i did not think to ask on this forum.

Yes I am currently restoring a C9/B but have recently bought a C8/P which I am finding very difficult to get any info on although ive only had it a week

Got you covered Martyn :P

I like the challenge of searching for stuff on such a rare vehicle but have to admit that British/commonwealth vehicles are not my specialty!
