M37 Markings - Looking for Info 1 Attachment(s) The attached photo of an M37 with an S318G shelter in the box, was apparently taken in Lahr. Sorry, I don't know the origin of the photo to give credits, but if the source is confirmed, I will edit credits into this post. Im guessing the time period is 1965-1975 range (just a guess). I am looking for information on the diamond shaped marking stenciled on the door. Was this marking associated with sigs units? Does anyone know details of these markings, and/or have a better photo of this type of marking. I have one of these shelters, and plan to use it in my M37 when restored. This vehicle/shelter configuration is what I envision mine to look like. Thanks in advance for any assistance. EDIT: This photo is on page 23 of the book "The 3/4 Ton SMP Truck in Canadian Service" by Andrew Iarocci (Service Publications), and photo credit is courtesy of Don Dingwall. Photo taken in 1975 - Lahr, Germany. |

Service Publications If you haven't already acquired a copy, I would suggest that you try to find a copy of Clive Law's Service Publications book by Andrew Iarocci titled 'The 3/4=ton SMP Truck in Canadian Service' https://servicepub.com/product/the-3...nadian-service I don't have a copy but other members may be able to describe the content. Its a book any M37CDN enthusiast should have. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2018. Jes |
