This photo has no doubt been up before.

Two reasons for posting:

a. One of the clearest photos I have seen for a while.

b. What a project for someone wanting a CMP out of the ordinary to recreate a replica.

This photo, and others in a series like it, was posted on MLU originally by David Hayward and is a group of Glass Negative photos of the vehicles that passed through Pearsons of Liverpool (UK). I understand David published these in a book on Pearsons of Liverpool. I've never seen a copy of the book, as it was a limited release of 1500 copies, but you might still be able to find a copy.

The pic shown has been cropped, the original shows a background of a wonderful bomb damaged Liverpool where life goes on as usual; a child skipping down the road, a dog dutifully waiting outside a pub. I have to confess, David sent me a Hi-res copy of the original Glass Negative pic and it was a screen saver on my computer for a few years because of the detail it held.

The book Tony referred to is:

After the War was Over: The Pearson's of Liverpool Story, by Alan Earnshaw and David Hayward (2008). ISBN 9781903016 28 2, published by Trans-Pennine Publishing Ltd. Hard-back, landscape format.

... in case anyone is going to search for a copy.

The image in question is on page 14 and is the broad view as described by Tony.

Mike
