Niels, these are WW2 related but could not find any dates on them (perhaps internal but I have not checked). I have been told that this particular model was used up to 1950).
One of the canvas straps has the date 1945.

These are WW2 era and generally used by signal corps linesmen for testing rather than as a general service field phone.
