CAB 13 mystery U bolts
1 Attachment(s)
With my F60S 1944 kit came four U bolts that I cannot identify. They do not have any part numbers stamped on them.

Alastair,
I wonder if they could be from the tow hitch assembly? Alex |
Or for clamping narrower springs than the pads on the axle were designed for. Could be relevant for a vehicle that needs heavy duty axles but doesn't weigh much. FAT possibly ?
David |
Could they be for one of the variants of the brush guard ?
|
What’s the size of the them? Knowing this might help us determine what they are.

Ford CMP radiator spring bumper U-bolts
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Alastair,
I would say with 99.9% certainty that they are the U-bolts used to retain the "radiator spring bumpers" If they are 3" BC of the threaded ends that is them. You can also see, between the radiator spring and the bumper, the "Spacer- radiator bumper" which was the information you requested in a previous post. See photo. They then go through the towing clevis bracket. Cheers, |
U bolts
Thanks, everyone. It looks as though we have the radiator guard fixings for another vehicle as we have fitted the guard satisfactorily to the back of the bumper as shown in the factory pictures.
