CMP hood latch reproduction

1 Attachment(s)
I have a quantity of these commonly used hood latches that are missing the rod and spring. An example of the complete version is shown on the left. Does anyone have the rods or the springs to complete my latches? ... Brian

I made up the rods from 3/16 plain steel rod, only the cross drilling for the cotter pin required a bit of care.
The washer was a standard SAE #10.
The springs can be cut from bulk spring material, "off the shelf" made by Century Spring (part R-10 OD .312, wire .048 pitch 086 sold in 36" lengths that I cut to match the originals I had at 2-5/8 free length).
In the photo, from left to right an original (in good shape), the disassembled original I worked from to make repros before I found the good original and a repro.

Thanks for you info Grant. Who wants to start a production line? I can supply the main piece! As time goes on more and more of these CMP parts will have to be reproduced. ...Brian
