What is legal????

Can you own and display and expanded LAW tube??????

Instead of a dud rocket consider getting a wooden model made and painted like an original. Around here the local hobby shop has a 3D printer and he was printing mortar rounds in 3 pieces...top..middle section and finned section.

Remember that a life size model of a restricted weapon is considered a weapon in the eyes of our funny gun laws. I have seen spectacular wooden models of a .50 cal. machine gun that I would not install on a jeep and drive on the streets of Ottawa....... or the solid cast aluminum copies (no moving parts) sold in the USA that are dead wringers from 3 feet away.

The tubes are disposable, and when empty are not considered a weapon. Once was the day you would find piles of them at the base dump. But things have tightened up a bit since then, and nowadays the military may well consider any recent M72 tube as being stolen. The military considers empty brass, the plastic stripper clips, the grenade rings, the cardboard boxes the stuff comes in, as salvage, and it is all supposed to be turned in.

An empty/inert rocket, or a replica of one, is also not a weapon. But a replica of a machine gun, such as you are describing Bob, would be considered a prohibited device if it closely mirrors a real weapon, and does not fire a projectile with enough force as to cause bodily harm. If it does fire with enough force (determined to be 366 feet per second....enough to take the eye out of a pig), then they are OK.

Seem a bit convoluted....you bet.

Spotted one of these on a vehicle in Seymour the other day. Just happened to be on a LH drive vehicle driven by an exchange Officer from the Marines (Armour). They are allowed to bring their vehicles with them.

Looked twice to make sure that a Claymore was facing me. Then i am sure we Aussies are not the enemy of the USA.

Dave.
