Dear all,

I think I have bought my last military vehicle, unless and an ex CF Can-Am pops up.

I have been chasing this vehicle for four years now. In the end it was a case of give the man what he wants as it may never come up for sale again, ever. I missed it once being a cheapskate and that taught me my lesson.

There were only 46 of these machines ever made and were a highly modified Land Rover based on the Series 3 model, which is a shame as it is the lowest quality build of any Land Rover.

The interior had a berth which doubled as a bench seat and a cooker and a sink and a map board. The roof was a pop up style, cleverly simple and distinctive.

Anyway, it is a real project of a machine. I am collecting bits and pieces and the vehicle runs and moves under it own power but stopping is a challenge. The white roof was donated along with the white sides.

I think 5 to 10 years might see this done.

My thanks go to Ryan Harriman for alerting me to it coming up for sale again, without him I would not have seen it.

An in service and a as now picture.
