just hit a BC bearings or Western Bearings or bearing supply store with the old ones, they will match them for sure.

Bearings

The part # for bearing is N S K 6408 the price I was quoted was 100$ can each ,fortunatly ive done alot of buissness with my supplyer and was given the parts at a much reduced price.

Ouch, $100 each.... I think I'll be heading out to the spare roadwheel pile and covering them up with a better tarp tommorrow. Seems like the bearings in them just became more salvageable.

I have to go into town tommorrow for 1 SKF bearing RM8, which is used on the bottom of the steering column just above the floor. Hopefully I don't get quoted a similar price.

Perhaps we could start a thread on MLU where we list the modern seal and bearing numbers, along with the retail price. Would make a big difference on what size hammer I use to remove the various components.

We have - see Modern part numbers for CMPs. I have stuck it at the top of the Restoration Forum for future reference.
Adding retail prices is a good idea, they will differ around the globe but would be handy for assessing restoration costs.

Tried to find some in my scrap pile and several others but had to go retail.

Bearing prices

I replaced all the bearings in my road wheels. I shopped around a lot and was quoted anywhere from $55 ea. to $110 ea. USD. Bearings have been going up in price this year at an alarming rate. I would be glad to assist anyone needing these.

Road wheel bearings

I currently have a large supply of bearings for the T-16 Universal Carriers. I don't know if they are the same as the Canadian UC's or not. My price is $15 per bearing. I replaced all of my bearings in my T-16 and I also have a source for the oil seals.

Sounds like a deal but 15$ U.S ,Is the exchange rate equal to 1 Mad Cow?

this is a fantastic deal for those of you trading in the UK!!! I hate buying parts from you guys as it costs me double. How many mad cows do you have by the way?
