The Wizard of Aus'?

Outstanding piece of documentary history, and really useful for any rebuilders. Next Q, how does someone down load those pages?

how does someone down load those pages?

Carefully.........

one page at a time "save image as ".......x 239 times....... saved in your favorite file..................

Amazing find !

I am half proficient with CAD, some many hours there to convert that lot :)

Downloading

A downloadable pdf of the whole file is available by going to the 'file details" screen in the NAA's Recordsearch system, so someone has purchased a copy of this previously. When I first had this file cleared for public access waaaayyyy back, the internet didn't exist. In more recent times, if a file copy is ordered & paid for, the NAA policy is to also to make the file available for free via Recordsearch to everyone else.

Go to RECORDSEARCH: recordsearch.naa.gov.au/
Click ADVANCED SEARCH
Type 364517 in the ITEM ID line about half way down the list.
The ITEM DETAILS screen will come up, which has the downloadable pdf in the top right corner.

Remember, this is for the Australian LP carrier and is not applicable to carrier production from other countries (except New Zealand, just across the Tasman ...)

Excellent Mike, you propably saved few hours of my life! :D

It is a 100Mb file when downloaded.
I (and many others) downloaded this in July 2020 and have since printed it in A4 for the workshop.
I think this file was hosted on Fb - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1018726994808428

Amazing what other files may be out there...waiting to be paid for and scanned.

Only applicable to Aust Bren Gun Carriers and there are many other useful files on the Fb page that may be of interest to others in this forum.

I posted about these same drawings here on MLU almost two years ago:

http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...549#post260549

Didn't anyone look at them then?

reminding

We need reminding ...

"only applicable to..."

Note that the NZ LP2 and LP2A were built to these Australian plans.

It is just the Aust. LP1 and NZ LP1 that are different, being built independently in each country.

As above I wish I had this info back in the mid 1990s!

Rob
