F60s cmp laat canvas
 

Dear friends,

Can any one kindly tell me where I may be able to purchase a new tilt canvas for my Ford LAAT?

I live in the United Kingdom.

The two military canvas company’s I have come across only work on American Vehicles.

Any helpful advise would be very much appreciated.

The canvas that came with my LAAT 8 years ago is well and truly beyond repair now ... hopefully Richard Hughes can help.

I am sure the question for LAAT canvas has come up on the forum before....maybe 2 years ago or so. Was it James Gosling maybe? It could be worth partnering up.

LAAT canvas tops
 

Hello Mark,

James was indeed looking for a LAAT canvas, but this was back in 2014. He later reported Jim Clark of Allied Forces had planned to do a limited run of LAAT canvas tops, but I do not know if this ever came to fruition as James sold both of his LAATs in 2015.

I am sure there is a (latent) demand for this, and it must help tremendously if you have an existing one to use as a pattern.

he may be able to use the old one as a basic pattern, hopefully see him in a couple of weeks
