gearbox for T16
 

hello everyone and thank you for accepting the group. I am currently restoring a T16 E2 and I have a problem. I can't find a matching gearbox. Can an F30 or F60 type truck gearbox be mounted on it? Knowing that reverse gear is right and backward on truck boxes and left and forward on T16s. Thank you for your answers to this question.

Not knowing too much about a T16, but this change in position of the reverse gear would be because the gearbox change is using a remote gearchange linkage system and this is why you get a different position in the gate system where your gear lever is.
So if the T16 uses a 4 speed Ford "Crash " gearbox, one from the CMP range should not be a problem, you would probably have to change out the rear mount or how ever that adapts to the diff,

The mount between the Box and the rear end is Bolted to the gear box.
