Thanks Mark:
Sometimes I mark my life's accomplishments in strange ways.:D

Sadly, I never seem to find enough time to spend here with my friends. On the other hand, I am sure that GWB and others would say if I would cut down on the length of my posts I could post more often.
In any case, it is always a pleasure to be here amongst you.
Bill

Hi Bill
Good to see an image of you. I always imagined you were an old fart but you are in fact a "Spring Chicken." I personally have enjoyed your posts as they are very very interesting and informative. Keep going and let us know when you get to 1000.
All the best - Bob

May I join the 500+ club?

Reading and writing in the MLU forum means a lot to me. Seven years ago my wife and I were discussing divorce. Then I asked: wasn´t there a time when you was satisfied with our marriage? My wife replied: When you worked in Paris and when you were at the Infantry Combat School and only came home during the weekends.

So instead of divorcing we went back to "Paris living". My wife moved to the neighbour city of Solna and we now meet during weekends (I will pick her up at 14H40 today).

This means that in the weeks I have lots of time to follow the discussions in different WW 2 related foras - MLU beeing my favourite.

Thanks Geoff! You have given life a meaning for an old retired fart.

Thank you all contributors!

Stellan

I needed a photo for my Press Pass [yes I get one now I am a 'Journalist' even though I have been writing for magazines since 1974!]. My dad took this one...

From small seeds, sprout large trees.
I thought this had been done before, but let us continue to unmask ourselves with photos of our own choice.

OK, you guys...Bill, Mark, Cliff, Bob, Stellan, Dave, et al...

You, collectively, having posted pics within the MLU Forum, are really starting to stress me out, in that I don't know how to do this stuff!

So, in the interests of international relations :) , would someone please , perhaps via PM, instruct me exactly how to do what you guys is doin'?:teach:

In other words, hold my hand, gently, and just tell me exactly what to do to get the required posting results.:note:

If it means anything, I'm running WinXP avec SP2.

:bang:

Jon

I showed you this stuff when I was up at your place a while back... scan them in using that amazing machine of yours, then use the Windoze utility to resize to 600 pixels wide, and save as a jpg file with moderate compression.

If I have to come up there to show you again, the booze will be on you this time... :D :p

Jon Skagfeld 14-02-05 04:48

Yeah, sure, Sunray, as if all your bafflegab means anything to my feeble, illiterate brain.

IIRC, 2nd last time you wuz up here, you left me a bunch of scribbled notes, which for interpretation, would put the Rosetta Stone to shame.

Ferchrissakes...can't someone just give me a step by step, functional, process so that I can post some goddamned pics?:bang:

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 14-02-05 05:01

No Problem

Tattoo this on your forehead... (1) scan the pic; (2) save on your hard drive; (3) resize as per previous instructions; (4) upload to forum on a regular post by using the Attach File section/Browse (do NOT try to preview).

If you're going to be in Acton next Saturday you DO owe me a beer... :p
