Winter CMP "Gather up" Ottawa,
 

An early report on last nights gather up at Grace O'Mallys was very sucessfull ..and will surely go down in CMP annals as "the t'ing to do" when you can't get at your CMP for the snow piles..
Guest of honour and East Coast representative,William "Billy Bullsh*t" Mulholland had a fine reception and great time with all us local CMP nuts..Bob,Clive,Rob,Myself and our latest member,Gracie the bar wench,who we ultimately unanamously voted group leader..

Great success was especially to be noted in last nights program under the headings of lie tellin' and Beer drinkin',parts 1&2...

This is to formally announce advance warning of Winter Gather Up ,Mark 2..Where the guest of honour will be that great West coast CMP nut,Harry Moon will be our distinguished guest..
Once again Grage O'Mallys will be the host center with final date to be announced ,when established..Between the 15-18 Feburary..
Time ..17:30...
Further info will be posted when recieved...
ALL CMP people in the area are invited ..Contact me if you can attend..A great Time was had by all..Hope to see you and give Harry a big Ottawa CMP welcome...

Having come to our senses..... we traded in Bill for our new CMP leader..... Gracey...... not a bad trade actually!!!!

GATHERING
 

Well, Gracie made the photo noteworthy. However, I don't think that she would make a good CMPer because:

a. she is much too attractive (using the gathering as the baseline);
b. not once did she tell a lie;
c. not once did she drink a beer (tho she brought many...);
d. she was much too polite;
e. she seemed sensible - choosing to stay in a warm pub vice rolling around in grease, dirt and snow cursing out a 60 year old truck; and
f. never once used the phrase "When I was...".

The rest of us on the other hand, amply displayed the known qualities of CMPers and lived up to our expectations.

I am looking forward to our next visit!

Harry Moon is in town today and will be for a few days..The parade is at 17:30Hrs. Wednesday at Grace O'Mallys's Pub on Ogilvey,north side ,just before Aviation Pkwy.

Our Left Coast rep had a fine time at the meeting of the minds at Grace O'Mallys last night ...Harry Moon,Bob Carrier,Alex Blair and Clive Law enjoyed the pictures Harry brought of CMP restorations and reenactment activities ,not to mention the beer drinkin' and lie tellin' ..parts l and ll...

Here is a photo that we can all see. The look on Clive's face is surprise that he still has a full glass of beer in front of him. The look on Harry's face is the realisation that Clive is actually looking at Harry's beer!

No Gracie wasn't working that night..But we had another nice lady take the pix..
We had a great time and Harry had lots of Pictures from the left coast..
And not a lick of snow in them...
