 V2 4 Attachment(s) V2 rocket at Salisbury store |
|
V2 on the Meilerwagen transport and erector trailer. Both now at the AWM in Canberra, and currently under restoration. The smaller winged rocket, the nomenclature of which escapes me, is, I think, also at the AWM. Mike |

I suspect the smaller rocket is a Messerschmitt Enzian based on: http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG/enzian.html |

Thanks Thanks for the memory jogger, Grant: yes, the Enzian. LRWE obtained a number of rocket-associated items in immediate post-war period, including an Oxygen container trailer, Vidalwagen, and other German items. Sadly, many were sold off/junked. The airfield being constructed was/is RAAF Edinburgh, South Australia. Mike |
