Never seen this gun arrangement before.....
What would the artillery piece be....rapid fire....ten rounds clips...??? Curious....... sorry picture did not attach.....will try again |
This is a hard one Bob. Have we got 20 questions left? Maybe a picture can help?
|
I'm sure I want it
two outboard .50 BMG's with tombstone mags and what looks like a 37mm artillary.
|
If a 37 mm.....?
Why the speed loading clip with ten rounds.....?? did the 37 have a auto load function....???
So the gunner would spot with tracers on the .50 then hit the middle gun for a few rapid shots......... some duck shoot!!!! |

The 37mm M1A2 was fed with 10 round clips. Mike |
The halftrack books usually show clean and "posed" Ordnance Branch side views. This is the vehicle in action, although it is a stupid place for the photographer to stand.
Having helped the Cold War Collection move its M3 closer to Ottawa, I can state they are a lot smaller in person than in the pictures. Imagine a 2-ton pickup frame with a flatbed, but 1930s technology and only sharp edges. |
