This auction completed yesterday:

"Lot 0356: 1940 Chevrolet F.A.T. (Canada): https://auction.tracksandtrade.com/a...tractor-canada "

The winning bid was €36,000 (wow!)

It seemed to be a bit of a sleeper during the auction, this must have happened during the last few hours.

The phillips screws holding the data plate would concern me if paying that kind of money. One would have to worry about how many other shortcuts would have been taken.

Stefan Leegwater pointed out that it looks like a Ford dash.

Found some more Phillips screws. Also no lenses and the cages do look non original (measurements seem a bit off).

I wonder what's under the hood...

The FAT auction was won by the Toronto Artillery Association. It will be coming back to Canada, specifically Toronto.

Good for them. I have heard for a while that they were looking for one, and considering how few are in Canada, and the price to restore anything these days if you are paying others to do your work, never mind the cost of materials, this may be their best route.

Interestingly, the first time this CGT was put up for auction, it failed to attract bids. This time there were multiple bidders, leading to a good result for the seller.

Granted, this is the shortest route to putting a FAT on the road. If they care, the details can be altered later.
