Reproduction 2-Gallon Cans
2 Attachment(s)
Here's the deal. I wanted some 2-gallon water cans for myself. So I had some reproductions made. These are NOT LINED and are NOT for Potable use. I have more epoxy coming to make potable use ones. But I don't have that yet. They are stupid expensive to ship overseas. So you are better off finding originals if you are outside of North America. But in the States this is a reasonable deal. I'll be at the MVPA convention in Oshkosh in two weeks. Picking up a can there will get you not only no shipping but a free gift too. Just let me know ahead of time and I'll bring a can set aside for you. Full details are in the link below.

Wow - that's something I never thought I would see reproduced any time soon... I have a pile of 2 gallon cans (likely all petrol) in my garage looking for new homes and trip over them at every 2nd hand shop I ever visit.
Edit - I have posted your link onto the 2 gallon can collector's page on facebook, hoping you may get sales there. Nice job though |
Tim,
I see from your profile that you are not in the US. They are desired here. If I was anywhere else I wouldn't have bothered. We never had any 2-gallon can production here. So the only originals here are sent across the border from Canada or on occasion randomly appear. I own three cans. One showed up at a huge auto swap meet, another from the MVPA convention last year and one a friend spotted on Craig's List. But that's about the extent of 2-gallon cans "in the wild" in the US. Those three are a WW1 example, a commercial example and a Canadian wartime one. Matt |
