Oddity in British service, 1939/40 Chevrolet COE

Pictures from May 1945 outside Copenhagen.
It’s the first day time a Chevrolet COE in British service.
It seems to be RHD since it has a windshield heater in the right side only.

Can't recall reading about this type in British Army service. Could it be an impressed civilian type which soldiered on until 1945?
