Post-war vehicle related (sort of) question.........
'Morning All,
I'm looking for a source for a Canadian Army O/D Combat Jacket, post-war.....the type that was in use in the 70'2 and 80's prior to the introduction of the current CADPAT combat dress. I have a fellow museum member (Ashton Armoury Museum, Victoria, BC) who's looking for a 72/50. Height 72" Chest 50" O/D Combat Jacket, in good repair. We wear this uniform when attending parades and other related events throughout the year, and our supply of O/D Combat Dress does not include a Combat Dress Jacket in the size needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Chris Preston, Vehicle Curator, Ashton Armoury Museum, Victoria,, BC, Canada |
surplus dealers
The Oshawa Tank Museum has standardized the green Goretex jacket as its "uniform". If you ask them, you might find who their recommended supplier is. The green combat coat went out of service in the early 2000s. Good luck.
The surplus clothing market is not bulk items, but individually identified pieces. You find strange things and unexpected sellers posting on Facebook marketplace. Sometimes you'll get a private seller who bought a tri-wall of textiles, and is pulling them out to sell by the each. |
