Greetings all,

I had a local auction house update in my email today that I thought I should share. Rosehill auctions in central Alberta has an upcoming auction of some interesting equipment.

Lot27 is a DUKW: https://rosehill.nextlot.com/auction.../lots/42932261

... and 1945 International 6x6, two halftracks, very nice Ford GTB, Ford panel van (#38) plus some engines.

Interesting stuff indeed, that GTB looks unmolested.

The second half-track was converted for a movie. It is an M2, so worth restoring, I gather?

The Duck and Modded Half track were mine.

I know some of the history of the Duck and the modded half track as I imported both into Canada years ago. If anyone wants to know more about them contact me. I sold them 12 years ago so will not be able to tell you anything about recent history at all.

Rod Ceccato was the owner of these. He passed away on very short notice, and the estate has been selling off over the past year. Some of the nicer pieces were willed to museums and aquaintances, others were sold off. These are what remain.

I received the list of vehicles last August/September and made a large purchase myself and a friend also made a decent size purchase. Rod was not afraid to spend money on his hobby, however, as some of us also do, may have spread himself a little thin with too many projects.

There were a couple of his workers retained to sort stuff out, and this will be the culmination of their efforts. Note that some of the pallets have a bit of a mixed bag of parts. Not all will be for the vehicle listed in the descriptions.

It is my understanding that a lot of the proceeds from the military vehicle sales were going to set up some scholarships at a college.
