94th Batt, 3rd AT Rgt . 3rd Canadian Infantry Div. July 1944

Does anyone know what guns this unit had in mid July? I am not after how it landed but rather if changes were made by July.18. M10-17 pdr SP -17 pdr towed and 6 pdr numbers .

I haven't a starting point for you, but the Library and Archives Canada has made a major push to digitize and post war diaries. Log on and see if they have your unit's records. I have gone there to find WW1 personnel files to help family members, and to view the WW2 fatality files.

Nothing in the War Diary. If only 3 Rgt had a War Diary like that for 2nd AT Rgt. It is far more detailed and it seems they had a really bad time in July.

Maybe not? At least, this page about when the regiment landed on D-Day, says:—

The 52nd and 94th AT Batteries each had had more towed 6-pounder guns allotted to them than the normal number in a battery.
Though, of course, if they were supposed to be 17-pounder batteries then any 6-pounder guns they had would be “more (…) than the normal number” :)

I meant nothing in the 3rd AT Rgt WD about gun types (in July) whilst 2dn AT Rgt WD is stuffed with such detail.
