Marmite news

As an adjunct to previous topical postings, the following is quoted from today's edition of a Toronto, Ontario, Canada newspaper...

For your jubilation, consternation, exhiliaration, postulation, mastication, ...whatever.

"Blob too scary

LONDON--A Marmite commercial that parodies the 1950s science fiction film has been banned from all children's programs in Britain after leaving kids too scared to watch television, the advertising watchdog said.

Six people had complained to the advertising watchdog."

I didn't make this up!

It's true, I have seen the advert. Some people dive into the blob and others run away scared.

Best Marmite ad that I have seen is one where they are offering people bread and Marmite in the street, and one big guy comes along and cries "No ! " and runs down the street with the Marmite girl chasing him. I think the punch line to the ad was "you either love it or you hate it", obviously he hated it!

Richard

(I still prefer Vegemite)

Quite so, far too silly to be made-up and so it has to be true.
I'm with you here. :bang: :bang:

I agree with Richard. Son and I love Marmite but the "uvver 'alf" hates it. Can't even stand having the jar anywhere near him.
