Spare tire carriers in NZ

This is a question for the Kiwi MLUers. What is the availability of CMP spare tire clamshells in your neck of the woods? The reason I am asking is that we will be bringing a 40 foot container from NZ to Canada very shortly and if I can purchase 1 or 2 or ??? we could bring them over in the container. I remember a thread awhile back about tires that were available also. We could fit some of those in also. Any comments/suggestions/ideas? Thanks.

Most of the NZ CMP's have Canadian body parts but the clamshells appear to be slightly different to Canadian pattern. What do you think? Actually finding a couple of spares would be hard as they are just as keenly sought after in NZ!

Interestingly, my F15A came with the same type of spare wheel carrier. It has one hinged clamshell (though mine is a simple U-profile replacement), the other end is made of steel strip to hold the wheel in place (the top of which can just be seen in the picture below). It is bolted directly to the chassis. I have presumed until now this is a 30- or 60-cwt spare tyre carrier. Could this be an alternative 15-cwt style?
 H.

The pressed part definitely differs from the well-known 15-cwt spare tyre carrier/toolbox:

J.P., a while ago Chris Vickery offered a spare tire carrier for sale.

Re NZ bits and bods

Hi guys, yeah parts are very thin on the ground here in NZ , if you have good contacts within the MV fraternity here I imagine you'll pick up a few parts. Tyres on the other hand are as scarse as hens teeth. I'm restoring a 41 chev portee, and have had to go to modern tyres as when i put the call out for NOS tyres there were no replys whatsoever. if I can be of help to you in any way drop us a line... cheers
