Polish armoured train?

Someone suggested that the Carrier and Valentine were associated with the Polish armoured train in Kent?

Yes, good suggestion.

As can be seen the carrier has Polish flag and female Polish name "Baśka". The Polish armoured trains had a series of the Universal Carries codenamed with the Polish female names as for example:

T63116 – "Jaga" (Armoured Train "G")

T63122 – "Hanka" (Armoured Train "G")

Next week I will try to check the "Baśka" and where was it come from.

* * *

The tankers in Valentine look Polish in fact (black beret with silver eagle) but I am unable to recognize the unit in a hundred percent. White badge (or a part of it) looks at this tank similarly to horse head, but maybe I am wrong. White horse head was a badge of 1. Pułk Ułanów Krechowieckich, or the 1st Krechowiecki Ulans Regiment.

But my Polish colleagues, good spotters, observe this forum so maybe they will help.

Best regards

C. :)

Symbol

Hi! I blew-up the photo received and the Valentine has a white horse's head symbol. The photos were it seems sent from a friend whose interest was in the armoured train, so two people suggest connections with the train!

Big area for research. Only the UK-based Polish Armed Forces operated 12 armoured trains.

:)

David, on the first photo is "BAŚKA" T 63124 - Universal Carrier from armoured train "G". Another U.C. from this armoured train is T 63091 "WANDA".
Valentine with white horsehead is from armoured train "H".
Best regards
Witek
