Frame Vin Stamping
 

HI ALL..
where should i look for a frame vin on my cab 13 F60L?
i seem to remember a thread that suggested that there were only tags screwed to the doghouse/dash or something.
whats the real story?my tags are long gone and i'm trying to get this thing registered.

I've yet to find a Ford with a number stamped on the chassis. It's easy with Australian Chevs - stamped on the front left chassis rail; Fords seem to be only on the data plate.
I've also heard the engine number is also used as the chassis number, but on the data plates this doesn't seem to be true.

Hi Duuane; Me too. I have searched my F15A chassis completely, and no sign of a ser#. Behind the left hand hand, front, cab step mount, I found the part # of the chassis.

Peter Fords Info Fax had some info
 

If my memory is correct Peter Ford in his Info Fax had some pictures of where to find serial numbers on Ford CMPs. I don't have my copy handy does someone else have theirs. If not I'll dig it out.

See Ford F15a Vehicle identification. I have not been able to find the s/n on my F15A.
