Carrier fuel funnel ?
1 Attachment(s)
I've had this funnel kicking around the shed for some time. It has only become of use, since I restored my carrier, and needed to refuel, - access to the tank is (in Aussie LP2/a's) under the rear seat back cusion and behind the rear seat bum cusion.
The funnel sits in position quite comfortably. Embossed on the funnel is the " big C with arrow " G.S.W. CANADA: it doesn't lend much help refueling my Blitz, because of it's verticle throat: but suits the carrier. |

My understanding is thats exactly what the funnel was for. No reason you couldn't use it for oil or water either. On most of these funnels, you also had a threaded fitting halfway up the spout, which allowed you to attach the horsecock to it for filling up the trucks where the neck was hidden by the toolbox.
The 2 gallon POW can fits inside the funnel on the two little metal lips inside the funnel. |

Amazing what you can ( no pun ) learn.
Also because the Carrier is pre - Jerry can era, I "must " start using not only 2 Gal cans, but also the 5 gal cans, the one on the ledge was made in 1942, by Simpson of Adelaide, South Australia. |
