Boston, Massachusetts D-Day Remembrance
1 Attachment(s)
Recently our club was asked by the Chief of Interpretation at Boston National Historical Park Charlestown Navy Yard where Old Iron Sides USS Constitution is displayed, to provide WWII Vehicles as back drop for a 60th anniversary of D-Day. We were asked to dress in period uniforms if possible. The following pictures shows end of the convoy running along at 45mph on one of the busiest highways in Boston, (also the most expensive stretch of road in the world) next picture is one of the last surviving WWII LSTs left, line up of vehicles, next is the club changing room in front of the USS Constitution, next is my truck with LST in background, and last yours truly in front of CMP
