Rail Gun?

Is this one of those huge German Rail guns? Looks like it is sitting on tracks, note the crane chains on the upper left.

Rock Crusher?

I am thinking this might be a rock crusher, any ideas, confirmation, or corrections?

All of these photos came from a collection of snap shots that were sent home by my father and uncle who were both in the RCE's

This one reminds me of the CMP 3-tonner with makeshift house type body.

Captured French FT-17 of WWI vintage. Used for airfield defence etc. all over German occupied territory.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Dan!

It looks like a tar sprayer and if not mistaken, the photo is taken from inside a truck body which appears to be carrying grit / gravel to be laid on the tar.

Tar sprayer

I'm with you Richard,

If you look to the left upper corner of the machine you can see a small jib with a tar barrel on it.

Pete

Ah, Pete my lad, I'm sure there's a worthwhile story there... it would doubtless be worth a pint of two to hear the unexpurgated version... :D ;)

Nothing much to tell, certainly not that entertaining but if you send me a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels I can tell you a story.

Correct, StuG III - not JagdPanzer III, it did not even exist. Slip of the keyboard, sorry!
