id of this Fordson??

Apologies if off-topic

http://www.e83w.co.uk/images/militaryfordson.jpg

I was sent this pic recently, and am unsure of what I'm looking at here. Some panelwork, eg doors, look similar to those found on civvy Fordson 10cwt vans (as at E83W site ) yet the grille looks like the WOT. Can anyone tell me what this vehicle is, and what it'd be used for??

thanks
Rick

MARKINGS

The markings are from the batch

M 5514214 to 5514535 Contract S 5266 Car 4 str 4x2

The W0A2 Utility Car was a modified Model 62 22 hp. I wonder if the bodies were built by Martin Walter of Folkestone, as Utilecon style, as fiited to E83W WD vans. The official 1942 Ford publication suggest that they were 'Estate Cars' though.

I believe that these are E83W Utilecons:

Cliff:
Included in the packet coming to you is a Roy resin WOA2.
Please build that one and show us how it looks.
Rick: Thanks for that site link. Not only are E83Ws one of my personal favorites, there were some other good links on the site that I had not seen before. I saw a few of those when living in Lima, Peru in the seventies and others in surrounding countries.
Sadly, although I took lots of pics of vehicles in that time, I failed to capture any E83Ws.
Cheers
Bill

Bill - glad you liked the site, am always on the lookout for new material to go on there about E83Ws, I'm especially looking for details on the ARP Ambulance version and other wartime usage. Have got photos of the canteens but very little on the Ambulance.

cheers, RJ
