ACCO Mk1
This is marked as an ACCO 1 Mk1.
http://oldcmp.net/images/acco/Bandi/acco1mk1.jpg The photograph would appear to have been taken at the International-Harvester factory in Dandenong. The ACCO was the locally developed replacement for the CMP in Australian service, and it's CMP inspiration is fairly apparent. Can any ACCO expert provide more details? |
AACO Mk 1

It certainly looks like the Inter factory holding yard or an Inter Dealers lot.
Is the Pic captioned ACCO? My understanding is that International at that stage were calling the vehicle "Aust Army Cab Over", or AACO Mk1. They were a successful design and when released on the civillian market, were known as the "Aust Commercial Cab Over, or ACCO and that's the name that's stuck. I've seen a Mk1, lots of the production Mk3's, 4's and 5's, but never seen a Mk 2. Anyone got a pic? Another angle of the Mk1: |
