I am trying to find more photos of US/Canadian-donated ambulances. This ambulance was a US gift, taken in 1940, and has twin rears..is it a Ford please? Mechanised Transport Corps ladies:

Painted on the side of the vehicle are the British and American flags, confirming that this ambulance is part of the American Ambulance, Great Britain.
Actually ANGLO-AMERICAN AMBULANCE UNIT t/a AMERICAN AMBULANCE GREAT BRITAIN

Morning David:
I believe your ambulances are 01T 1940 Ford models.
This can be confusing some times as many, many Ford and Chev ambulances were provided by various US charities, churches etc. to the UK in 1940/1941 and I am not sure if they were to common specifications. Also, the UK took over a number of the same vehicle designated R01T that had been purchased by Romania but never delivered to them.
The photos you posted are, in any case, of a Ford.
Bill

Thanks Bill! I am going ga-ga trying to track down photos of CHURCH ARMY mobile canteens as they used Chevrolets. I have also seen a photo of a Canadian YMCA 1940 Ford Mobile Canteen in the UK. I am always looking to increase my collection.

A Ford being repaired so early in life? Impossible!;)

There's a guy here in Melbourne who has been compiling a collection of Australian Church Army vehicles - I don't have his contact details any more unfortunately.
