Temperance, always temperance.
Says he who is on his third and last dollop of the marvelous Scottish elixer.

Happy Holidays to all which is nowadays PC.

Totally off subject, but after 25 years of negotiating with my lovely wife Pat, I got a ferret for Christmas (two days early actually. As he is a masked ferret, his name is Bandit.

I think I now understand why Pat did not want one, at least from her perspective. I never knew ferrets could squeeze under the normal space under a connecting door to another room or a corridor. They seemingly have no bones at all. As well, this one can open any interior door in the house (houses have loose locks I guess)

Tonight, the little bugger has pushed most of the books off of my shelves in his "investigation" of my office, has opened the doors to my various cabinets to inspect the contents and has figured out how to open the former clothes closet doors to what is now a series of bookshelves

As I type this, he has pushed open the file drawer next to my PC and is ravaging the drawer full of file folders.

And then now, he just shat on the floor.

Maybe some Christmas dreams should not be fullfilled????

It gets better.

I cleaned up the mess and dumped the kleenex in the loo and left the door open to the bathroom.

Bandit just fell into the loo and it is now time for another bath.

I am a very happy camper!!!
Cheers
Bill

HAPPY Christmas ...

HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you and loved ones too Vic ;)

If I recall correctly, my Bristol born foster family always said HAPPY CHRISTMAS to me ... only by England born? Pity ... :) I enjoy the expression as it conjures up a lot of happy memories with a wonderful loving family. I was one of the lucky foster-kids and scored a happy placement at age 14 ... until I left to go out on my own at age 16 (I then boarded with them at age 18 or there-abouts) ... I shall call them to say HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!!

BILL ... FERRET for Christmas, huh? Careful what you wish for ... and how you wish ... gotta be SPECIFIC dontchya know ... like askin' fer all the good stuff and none of the not so good. Women are very wise you know, and when a woman doesn't want a pet, there's generally a good reason that over-rules the "Ahhhh ... ever cute!!!" :D :D :D ... but ferrets ... are pretty irresistable ... I hope you can housetrain rather than having to pet-proof your home ... they're definately adorable ... until they start to rearrange everything, sh-t on stuff, and fall in toilets ... (what a hoot ... I'm laughing like crazy here, at your story) ... A very HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you and Pat and your other loved ones ...
