Just completed a spot of flying in this aircraft, a YAK-52 in a formation of 5 Yaks and Nanchangs for a DVD I'm making for the Tyabb Airshow.

We made many attacks on a beach on French Island and after about the fifth (bumping around in the prop wash of 4 other aircraft and trying to concentrate on looking through the viewfinder) I must admit I hauled the bag out just in case!

Managed to hold it in so you chaps can have an unsullied look at what a Yak formation is like from the air. There's a LOT of throttle juggling and the occasional break away to avoid a collision. Fun stuff!

Into the bomb run. You can just see No4 in the lower part of the frame.

More pics here.

Ah yes, the joy of flying...and airsickness! Great pics Keith! It adds so much to a re-enactment to have airpower! One question, do the Nanchung's radial engines rotate the same direction as the Yak's, which I believe, is opposite to the Allies' Bristol, Wright, Pratt and Whitney et al?
If you get a chance to travel to the U.S., you must visit some of the aircraft museums. The number and variety of warbirds is nothing short of amazing! I've included a pic of an A-26 that shows up at a lot of our re-enactments.

 :salute: :drunk: CHIMO!
