No, it's not a 11/12 cab FAT but a Guy Quad Ant saved by Ian Styles in Temora who is busy restoring it.

Cliff, any ideas for a model of this one? I know it is on my list of "yet to build" models, somewhere......

I had thought about one as a model but with about 10 on my to do list now probably will not bother with this one. I will however do a #9 FGT and possibly a #6 bofers as well as one of the MHFord gun tractors along with a few others.

He has a query about the POL holder on the right rear of the vehicle...

Whilst the can fits on the left, the holder on the right is constructed differently. Was it for a different type of can?

Ian has done a very good job on that, you would not see one of those over here in that order. Last one I saw was unrestored, at Duxford in the 80's on the back of a lorry.

Now this can carrier, not come across this before but think it could be a double carrier for the 1 gallon oil can. The bar looks like it should have a piece of webbing or wood on it, by the holes. Most British lorries, etc. only carried an engine oil can, but this one may have had one for gear oil as well.

it is nice to finally see the forefather of the CMP quad rebuilt.
Is it possible to swing the bar under the petrol can handle as it is pushed in? Or can the petrol can be put into the frame handle first?

Unfortunately there was a partly disassembled truck in front of it. Hopefully next time I'm going to Temora Ian will take me for a spin. I plan to produce a segment for the next DVD on it, so you can all see and hear it in action.
