109 set, etc
Saw this post, something twigged in my mind, went down to my radio room, checked out my recently aquired UC 10 line switchboard.
Well, well, well,....Look what I found... Nameplate on switchboard is as follows... YA/CAN/BR 2669 Switchboard 10 line,Mk 2, Serial..... Now, check this out....... Standard Telephones and Cables, MFG, CO(Canada) Ltd, Montreal. I wonder what the war-time connection betwen PTY and LTD was? |
Pty Ltd

Did you mean the PTY LTD in this shot? http://www.oldcmp.net/Images/wireless/109/109_1.jpg This simply means shares in the company are limited to the owners. |
Hi all,
I believe that one usage of the R109 set was in combination with the No. 76 set to make a rear link, directly to GHQ or what have you. Rob |
