Pity the army number is not shown in full (on the right of the glasis plate) as it would be from the Victoria based Company of five MkVIa tanks, one of which I had the pleasure of working on recently.

Taken at Victoria Barracks, Paddington.
One of the batch of ten MkVIa Light Tanks ordered by Australia in 1937, newly arrived, still bearing the UK civilian reg. number. From the batch of photos, it looks like they are straight off the boat, front track guard extensions have been removed for shipping, no mirror fitted, etc.

I see they used an Aust. pattern track winch, as supplied with the LP2/2a carriers. Is it indeed an Aust design, or say a Vickers Carden Loyd idea. anyone know anything?
