Ford model identification

Undocumented Ford models?
Here is the list as published in the "Special Pattern Vehicles" handbook. The same list is published in the front of the MB-F1. And yet we know thereseveral models not listed which did exist: the F8A, the F602S - the 4X2, F60B, the elusive F22 and now it appears there is another, the F30S as evidenced by Michel's publications plate on his LAAT, seen in this thread. So the question is: What other rare versions were there? And what photographic or written evidence is there for them? |

Could it be your list was published at a point in time when the CMP model range was not complete? F8A is not listed because it was not built for British/Canadian Army, but for the Indian Army only. The F30S is the same as the F30 with 134-1/4" wb in your overview. The F22 did not exist, it is "C291Q.L-W" - we still need to find out what L-W stands for. Hanno |
F30S
The F30S was the designation applied in 1940, possibly into 1941...for the F30, as was of course C30S for the C30.
