Extra!!Extra!! Read all about it !!
Hot off the press !!Apparently.according to CBC Newsworld.the Chief of Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces ,General Hillier,,has been muzzeled by a gag order by the Conservative(minority government-33 % of the national vote), prime minister Stephen Harper, from making any future statements to the PUBLIC,without(and I undeline this point)without prior consent from this government.Together with muzzling the parliament press gallery from discussing pertinent issues through OUR elected representatives,no matter what party they represent, there appears to be a pattern happening here from days of old. What is this man afraid of ??.Generaal Hillier has been asking for new ships, new transport aircraft, new equipment for our guys in harms' way,but now the General is gagged!!
Fellow MLU'ers,your thoughts PLEASE!! |
Outspoken.....
As much as I like General Hillyard and admire his wit and his guttsey outspokenness..he is not an elected official and serves,as we all did (those of us that served)at the boot of our civilian political masters....
To have a military dictatorship, which would be what we would have if the military ran our country, would be similiar to Libya or Pakistan... So General H.has had his cinch tightened,as have the other party officals, although elected, are not where the buck stops.. Because Harper ,as elected leader,by the country and his party, dosen't want anyone making promises that they have no right too,or can deliver,it makes it much easier to focus on the stuff that has to be done,to get this country back on track..a law and order society, with fewer loose cannons than the rogues we just threw out.. And this is old news..at least a week old... |
It seem now we have a "new dog"(Harper) with "old tricks" ( floor crossers and muzzle the Ministers and General) things have gotten quiet on the rubadub dub yeah the Consevatives.
