Russian Equipment

I note that on the 11th June 2006, the 'Russian Broadcasting Company' repeated a story originaly advertised by their state arms company last year that Russia has large stocks of WW2 weapons, vehicles and equipment available to Museums and Collectors.

In this press release it was stated that two WW2 submarines had already been sold.

When this story originally broke last year many people doubted if this equipment actually existed. Does any one have any more up to date information on what may be available.

This is the Russian company that exports arms, you could e-mail them.

People on another forum have indicated that their claim of having 10,000 Lee Enfields, in mint condition, is somewhat tenuous.

I'd be careful in dealing with these guys.

I think any approach is best left to a dealer.

Judging from their initial advert, they also want to charge commercal foriegn goverment prices for these items which have no relation to current collector prices.

Over the last few years Ukraine has released large quanities of Russian, German and USA WW2 small arms on the market at a fraction of the price which Russian sources have quoted.
