Bandiana Army Museum Update

This isn't a complete update of what's new, but it covers some of the projects in the workshop, which I took last week when I visited to shoot the last segments on their White Scout Car and Staghound for the Year of the Armoured Car DVD.

Mick has been making good progress with the F60L cab 12 and could be heard doing some panelbeating as I was busy in the office.

The Ambulance is also getting an update, with a new engine, the correct front shell and dash, as well as paint rectification.

The museum's TWO LP1 projects (one for the donor) are also making good progress.

They even have a FS6 wireless for their LP1.

More pics for this batch here.

On the second page of updates is this K3 (or is it K5) International which had a tree growwing through it.

And a 1916-ish Leyland.

In the museum (but not pictured, sorry) is a FX Holden ute and, in the workshop a Falcon ute.

These people do an excellent job on limited time and budget, and it's always a pleasure to visit them.

The AWA FS6 was a upgraded AWA 101 set . The LP1 would have had either a 101 or 109 set fitted . Apparently AWA built a batch of FS6's for the Indian army , some of these sets ended up in the UK , which is kinda weird .

The FS6 was also used by the Nth Aust. coastwatch unit , looking for Jap landings in remote locations , they were horse mounted soldiers , sitting for months in swamp infested coastal locations .
